Supportive Parents for Anxious Children's Emotions
SPACE is a parent-focused program designed to help parents and caregivers support children and teens experiencing anxiety, OCD, or related challenges.
Through the program, you work with a counsellor to:
-
Better understand your child’s anxiety and how it may show up in daily life.
-
Learn supportive ways to respond when your child is feeling anxious.
-
Identify ways the family may have adjusted routines to help manage the anxiety.
-
Make gradual changes that help your child build confidence and coping skills.
-
Develop a plan and receive guidance as you put these strategies into practice at home.
Parents or caregivers attend the sessions, so your child does not need to participate directly. The goal is to give you practical tools to support your child while helping them feel more confident managing their emotions.
